chirurgie2Oral surgery is the area of medicine that deals with the study, prevention and surgical treatment of dental and periodontal diseases. This includes endodontic surgery- apical resection, teeth extraction, tooth eruption accidents and dental inclusions, periodontal guided tissue regeneration, dental implants insertion and gum surgery.

Apicoectomy- is a conservative surgical method, which consists of removing the root tip and surrounding infected tissue. This procedure is indicated for anatomical problems that prevent performing root canal sterilization, such as horizontal root fractures, large periapical lesions, obstruction in the root canals..

Tooth extraction- is removing a diseased tooth, which causes and maintains pathological processes that cannot be resolved through conservative treatment.

Periodontal surgery- the use of laser therapy is an alternative to conventional treatment with many benefits for the patient. Laser surgery not only fulfills the surgery functions, but stimulates healing, and contributes to rapid disappearance of inflammation. Laser therapy is a minimally invasive option for treatment of periodontal disease by removing infected tissue from periodontal pockets and also the microbial biofilm. Various applications of laser therapy are valued by the patients as they reduce the pain.

Inserting dental implants- dental implant procedure involves replacing a damaged or missing tooth with an artificial one that looks and behaves exactly like a natural tooth. It requires surgical placement of the implant into the jawbone, which act as the missing root. Our doctors may recommend the insertion of a dental implant if the patient does not want to wear a removable prosthesis or the patient has one or more missing teeth. The operation is optimal for those with the jaw completely developed, enough bone support for the implant, no health problems that could interfere with bone and oral tissues healing.

Gum surgery- includes procedures that improve the appearance of the smile by changing the gingival contour. They are made to correct defect in morphology, position or gingival symmetry.

These surgical maneuvers are used only when necessary, after clinical and radiological examination of the cases, with the objective of preserving the teeth as long as possible. The interventions are performed under local anesthesia, safely and aseptically.

“In the past, I had a real anxiety about dental treatments. This is the cause I neglected teeth care due to fear of pain and discomfort, but after a visit at Biodent Professional, I realized that I had no reason to fear. The procedure was relaxing and comfortable; I almost forgot why I was there. I will need a complex treatment in the future and I’ll return with confidence every time.”

“I was very excited about the first visit, so I’ve decided to continue my treatment at this clinic. First of all, the location is easy to find, the reception staff welcoming and polite, and the doctors are working in a careful and painless manner. I highly recommend it to my friends and family.”

Orthodontics in our Facility

Orthodontics is the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of incorrect positions of teeth and jaw bones. Orthodontic therapy is targeting the detection of bad habits or incorrect positioning of the teeth to ensure an optimal health and aesthetic. Braces are used, applied on teeth to ensure harmonious development of maxillary apparatus. As the diagnosis is occurring earlier, so the treatment has a greater success rate.

Oral Implantology

Implants are made of biocompatible materials (Titanium or Zirconia) inserted into the alveolar bone to replace missing teeth. They serve as an anchor for dental crowns. They can replace one or more missing teeth, or they can stabilise existing removable dentures. The implants look like natural teeth, they have an increased resistance, while being very stable and comfortable compared to traditional alternatives. Complex regenerative procedures are available, to compensate for bone or soft tissue loss, growth factors that promote healing are used as well.
